The Workspace Has Become the Living Space: Why Desk Decor Matters Now
Since 2020, the Indian home office has become a permanent fixture in urban households. The desk that was once a utilitarian object — a surface for a laptop and not much else — is now visible in video calls, present in daily domestic life, and increasingly a space that people invest in aesthetically.
FOFUS produces 3D printed home office and desk decor pieces that apply design thinking to functional objects. Not ornaments that sit unused. Pieces that you use every day, that happen to be designed well.
Desk Organisation with Form
Modern Japandi Desk Organiser — ₹2,408
Japandi is the design synthesis that emerged from the meeting of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionalism. Clean lines, natural material references, the prioritisation of functional objects over decorative ones, and the removal of everything that does not serve a clear purpose.
The FOFUS Japandi Desk Organiser applies this philosophy to a stationery holder. The form is restrained: geometric compartments sized for pens, pencils, scissors, a phone, and stationery items. The surface is smooth, without ornament. The visual weight is low, which means it does not compete with what is on the desk around it but complements it.
At ₹2,408 this is a considered purchase for a workspace that is itself considered. It is not the right piece for a cluttered desk. It is the right piece for a desk where everything else has already been simplified.
Available in: Two versions (without assembly variants). Best for: Work-from-home desk, study table, creative studio, corporate gifting.

Kneeling Knight Pen Holder — ₹720
A heavily armoured medieval knight kneeling in a posture of devotion, with the pen holder integrated into the sculpture. This is the alternative to the Japandi organiser for workspaces that do not trend minimalist — for the home office that has personality, a gaming setup, a fantasy reader's desk, or any workspace where the occupant wants something to look at between tasks.
The detail on the armour is genuine — pauldrons, gauntlets, the weight of the pose. At ₹720, this is among the most distinctive pen holders available in India at this price.

Kitchen and Surface Functional Decor
Paper Roll Holder (Kumiko Pattern) — ₹1,320
A paper towel holder with interchangeable wall pattern inserts based on the Japanese Kumiko woodworking tradition — geometric latticework patterns traditionally used in shoji screens and cabinet panels. The Kumiko pattern gives a functional kitchen object an aesthetic depth that standard paper holders do not have.
The interchangeable panel design means the visual character of the piece can be changed without replacing the holder. Multiple pattern options are available. For a kitchen that has been thoughtfully designed, this is the correct alternative to the standard chrome or plastic holder.
Best for: Modern kitchen, Japandi-aesthetic home, gifting for new home or renovation.

Cup Coasters — ₹900
Coasters with 3D printed surface patterning — protective, functional, and visually considered rather than blank or generically branded. At ₹900 for a set, these are positioned as a home gifting item as much as a personal purchase. Coasters are one of the most overlooked opportunities in home decor: every table that regularly holds drinks needs them, and most coasters are dull.
Best for: Coffee table, dining table, home office desk, housewarming gift.

Wall Hooks — ₹200
A wall hook with concealed screws — mountable singly or in multiples for a composed hook row. The concealed fixing means the hook reads as a clean form on the wall without visible hardware. Suitable for coats, bags, caps, keys, garden tools, and utility applications. At ₹200 per unit, these are priced to be purchased in multiples for a composed wall installation.

The Shade Stand: Organiser as Display Object
Hexagon Sunglasses Organiser — ₹1,920
A sunglasses stand in a hexagonal architectural form, holding up to four pairs. The hexagon geometry is inherently architectural — it reads as a structure, not just a holder. On a dresser or an entryway console, this is a piece that organises a daily-use item (sunglasses) while functioning as a display object in its own right.
The problem it solves is specific: sunglasses are typically either thrown in a drawer (where they scratch) or left on a table surface (where they take up space without organisation). A display stand that is itself attractive solves the problem while adding to the visual composition of the surface it sits on.
Best for: Bedroom dresser, entryway console, bathroom counter, gifting for style-aware recipients.

The Marble Run: Functional Art for the Desk
Kinetic Marble Run Desk Toy — ₹1,776
A kinetic marble run — a track system that sends marbles through loops, spirals, and inclines through a self-contained structure. This is a desk toy in the tradition of the Newton's cradle and the perpetual motion desk sculpture: an object whose primary function is the creation of a satisfying repeating visual and tactile experience.
Kinetic desk toys have consistent demand in corporate gifting contexts because they serve as both a functional stress-relief object and a conversation piece on an executive desk. At ₹1,776 the marble run is priced appropriately for corporate gifting.
Best for: Executive desk, creative office, corporate gifting, home office, gifting for people who appreciate mechanical precision.

The Bistable Gyro: The Minimal Stress Object
Bistable Gyro — ₹168
A bistable mechanism that snaps satisfyingly between two stable positions. The engagement is tactile: the resistance, the snap, the two stable states. At ₹168 this is an impulse purchase that functions as a desk companion for anyone who thinks with their hands. The design is minimal — a clean geometric form that does not visually complicate the desk when left resting.
Best for: Desk companion, stress relief, gifting, ADHD-friendly workspaces.

Frequently Asked Questions — 3D Printed Home Office Decor India
Is the Japandi Desk Organiser available in custom colours?
Yes. Custom colour variants are available through the FOFUS business portal at business.fofus.in. Standard filament colours include black, white, grey, tan, and green. Custom orders require a minimum of 5–7 working days lead time.
How durable are 3D printed desk organisers for daily use?
PLA+ and PETG printed organisers are durable for daily office use. The material handles the weight of standard stationery items without deformation. Avoid placing near heat sources (direct sunlight through glass, or near heating elements) as PLA has a lower heat tolerance than PETG.
Are the wall hooks strong enough for coats and bags?
The FOFUS wall hook is rated for standard daily-use loads including coats, bags, and caps. For heavier items (tool bags, heavy backpacks consistently over 5kg), PETG material is recommended over PLA. Contact business.fofus.in to specify material requirements for heavy-load applications.
Is the Marble Run Desk Toy suitable as a corporate gift?
Yes. The Marble Run is priced and packaged appropriately for corporate gifting contexts. Bulk orders with custom branding (logo engraved on the base) are available through business.fofus.in with minimum order quantities of 10 units.
Do you ship across India for home office decor products?
Yes. All FOFUS products ship across India through standard courier services. Delivery is 3–7 business days. All items are individually packaged for safe transit.
