If you’ve searched for 3D printing in Thrissur, Kerala, you’ve probably found that the results are thin. A few IndiaMART listings, a couple of engineering service providers, and not much clarity on what’s actually possible here.
FOFUS is in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur. We’ve been manufacturing precision-crafted products here since 2021. This post explains exactly what we make, what the process looks like, and how to get something made.
What FOFUS Actually Produces
We’re not a general 3D printing service that prints whatever file you upload. We’re a product studio that designs, manufactures, and sells specific categories that we’ve built expertise in.
Religious idols and devotional products — This is the core of what we do. Ganesha, Guruvayurappan, Koodalmanikyam Bharata, Sangameswarar, Christian saints, Theyyam ritual figures. Every idol is developed from iconographic reference, not aesthetic approximation. These go into pooja rooms and temple antechambers, not souvenir shelves.
Kerala heritage art and sculpture — Through our Kerala Artorium brand, we make Theyyam sculptures, Kathakali figurines, nalukettu architectural models, and Kerala cultural decor. These are precision pieces for people who understand what they’re looking at.
Dental and medical models — Through Angel Dental Printing, we produce SLA dental models, surgical guides, and orthodontic models for clinics across Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Educational products — Through Kidodoo, we make curriculum-aligned educational models for schools, primarily geometry, anatomy, and engineering concepts made tangible.
Anime and collectibles — Through MAYANS, we produce licensed and original anime figurines, pop culture collectibles, and custom character models.
Architectural and engineering models — Heritage buildings, site models, product prototypes. We’ve done temple architecture, traditional Kerala homes, and engineering prototypes for startups.
The Technology
We use FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) for the majority of our products, with a Bambu Lab print farm running 24 hours. For dental and fine-detail work, we run SLA (Stereolithography) separately through Angel Dental.
What separates commercial-grade FDM from the hobbyist version is the design quality upstream of the print. A well-designed file with correct support strategy, precise layer settings, and tested surface finish parameters produces something that doesn’t look 3D printed. Our Guruvayurappan idols sit in pooja rooms next to traditionally cast bronze pieces — the comparison holds.
We built MAKER AI — an in-house automation pipeline that manages order intake, slicing parameters, and print farm dispatch. It’s what lets us run consistent quality across high volume without quality control falling apart.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t print arbitrary customer files. If you have an STL from Thingiverse or a file a friend sent, we’re probably not the right shop — about 40% of customer-supplied files need redesign before we’d be willing to manufacture them at our quality standard.
We don’t do rush orders on complex pieces. Geometric complexity, multi-part assemblies, and large-format prints need 5–14 days depending on the piece.
We don’t do small one-off prints for engineering prototyping. For rapid prototype iteration, a general FDM service will serve you better.
Institutional and B2B Orders
We supply institutional clients including NIPMR (National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Government of India) and the Puthur Zoological Park (Kerala Forest Department). We’re registered on GeM (Government e-Marketplace), Udyam MSME, and GST.
For institutional procurement, bulk orders, and B2B supply agreements, the right contact is support@fofus.in. We can provide GST invoices, MSME certificates, and GeM quotes.

ORCI: 3D Printing in Kerala Schools
Separately, we run ORCI — a maker education program that installs ALA-branded manufacturing labs in Kerala schools under a 3-year MoU. Students learn product design and manufacturing, and the best student products launch on the FOFUS platform.
If you’re a school principal or education administrator in Kerala, the ORCI program is at orci.in.
